This HoopsCamp.NET will become a portal for coaches and trainers along with a player development resource center that will be
developed carefully through the connections I have made throughout the basketball world since 1992:
Basketball is Life, Life 101, the school of hard knocks - ups and downs - trials and tribulations - it is an intimate game.
The databases of content I have gathered is being sorted and cataloged and more pieces will be revealed once agreements have been made with principal founders, web stores, and high quality content providers.
FUNdamentals must be established at an early age, both from the skill side and understanding of conceptual individual and team play - on both sides of the ball. My love for the game started early at seven years old and it was basketball and the caring coaches who understood what it means to be good and get better. Character counts, it matters and once the it is defined and real commitment takes shape with strong foundations - look out, because student-athletes that get it, that want it, will go on to achieve anything they put their heart, mind, and effort into.
Sincerely,
Jason, Retired Coach, Coplan
Friends call me "Cope" - Funny story about that, at a Coaches Clinic in Springfield, MA - meeting and speaking with Coach K -
He was having trouble understanding my nickname and kept asking me Coach who? So I said to him, do you know the book by Wooden - They call me Coach - well, of course he does and he looked at me like - are you serious? And I said, no, they call me Cope.
And he laughed and gave me a hug and a pat on the back.
That's just one pinnacle tip of many icebergs I have experienced over the year with other coaches.
The connections made through basketball is a network like no other.
